Recent Events
On May 16, 2009, Heartstrings Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group held a Community Yard Sale at Christ United Methodist Church in Greensboro. Thank you to our many volunteers that helped set up and run the event as well as all of the shoppers who came to support Heartstrings. We raised over $2200 to help sustain the organization and the many services they provide.
On October 9, 2008 WXII news team member Michelle Kennedy shared the story of her loss and finding Heartstrings.

On October 11, 2008, Heartstrings gathered with family, friends, and caregivers to honor precious lives who were taken too soon. The event, which was held at Shelter #1 of Triad Park in Kernersville, offered a Time of Remembrance and a 1.5 mile walk route. The Time of Remembrance featured keynote speaker Anna Marie Smith, author of Sleeping Angel and a special ceremony recognizing our little ones.

alone. Friends and co-workers tried to cheer her up. She hadn't
even known the baby, they said. She could always have another. Even
her dentist spouted fertility statistics. But attempts at healing

Walk to Remember 2006
More than 200 families, friends and caregivers walked in memory
of their babies at the Second Annual A Walk to Remember.

Sponsorships, registrations, and donations totaled more than $12,000. These
funds enabled Heartstrings to make a contribution to the
Guilford County Coalition on Infant Mortality’s Adopt-a-Mom
program and the Newborns in Need program in Forsyth County.
The remaining funds sustain the programs offered by Heartstrings,
including a support group, a one-on-one bereaved parent support
program called Connections, and an online support forum.
Walk to Remember 2007
We celebrated Heartstrings third annual Walk to Remember as family, friends and caregivers
joined together and walked for the steps our little ones will never take. Artisan Photography Group
beautifully captured the event and created a touching slideshow we would love to share with you.
